From a real Airbus A330 to rare historical artefacts — every exhibit tells a story of flight
Our centrepiece is a decommissioned Airbus A330 — a wide-body commercial aircraft that once carried hundreds of passengers across Asia. Now it carries something far more valuable: the history of Nepal's aviation industry.
Visitors can explore the full length of the aircraft — from the rear galley through the passenger cabin to the cockpit — with informative displays at every station explaining the science, history and engineering of commercial flight.
Over 100 artefacts and interactive displays across multiple themed exhibit areas.
HistoryA chronological journey through Nepal's aviation history — from the first flight at Gauchar Airport in 1949 to the present-day international fleet.
InteractiveSit in the captain's seat of the Airbus A330. Touch the controls, explore the instrument panels, and understand the science behind flying a commercial aircraft.
CollectionAn extensive collection of detailed scale models representing every aircraft that has served Nepal's skies — from the first Douglas DC-3 to today's widebody jets.
ArtefactsOriginal uniforms worn by Nepal Airlines pilots and cabin crew across the decades, alongside authentic navigation equipment, instruments and flight manuals.
SpecialA dedicated exhibit on the extraordinary challenges and achievements of flying in the world's most dramatic mountain terrain — the Himalayan aviation story.
AdventureNepal is home to some of the world's most challenging mountain airstrips. This exhibit celebrates the daring STOL operations connecting remote communities.
ExperienceDiscover the unseen world behind airline service — the galley, the cabin crew stations, the safety equipment and the fascinating logistics of in-flight catering.
PeopleStories and portraits of the remarkable men and women who shaped Nepali aviation — pioneering pilots, engineers, air traffic controllers and aviation leaders.
STEMAn interactive STEM exhibit exploring the physics of flight — lift, thrust, drag, weight — with hands-on demonstrations perfect for students and curious minds.
