Aviation Museum Nepal is located at Sinamangal, Kathmandu — approximately 800 meters from Tribhuvan International Airport's main terminal.

  • By Car / Taxi: From Thamel (~15 min), from New Baneshwor (~5 min). Free parking available on site.
  • By Bus: Microbus routes from Ratna Park and New Bus Park stop at Sinamangal. Look for buses towards Airport.
  • From the Airport: Just 5 minutes by taxi from Tribhuvan International Airport — perfect for transit visitors.

Visitor Guidelines

  • Photography is welcome throughout the museum (no flash in exhibits).
  • A café and refreshment area is available at the museum entrance.
  • The museum is wheelchair accessible. Please inform us in advance for extra assistance.
  • A museum gift shop with aviation-themed souvenirs is available near the exit.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere in the museum.

Most visitors spend between 1.5 to 2.5 hours at the museum. If you take a guided tour, allow approximately 2 hours. Self-guided visits can be tailored to your own pace.
Absolutely! The museum is family-friendly and many exhibits are designed with young children in mind. Children under 5 enter free of charge. We also have dedicated activity areas for young visitors.
